It was a full weekend of customer engagement at this year’s Ontario Honda Dealers INDYCAR race on the Streets of Toronto. Activities started Friday and went until race day on Sunday in the paddock and at the Shell V-Power Performance Tour.

Invited guests and Shell leadership were welcomed with top-tier hospitality, including trackside suite passes, Paddock/Team Penske Garage tours each day, and meet-and-greet sessions with driver Will Power. Once the pre-race festivities were over, everyone could stay cool in the shade and watch the race from the trackside suites.

Shell Canada opened the Shell V-Power Performance Tour to much excitement on Friday morning with a special visit from two-time Indy 500 Champion and Team Penske driver Josef Newgarden. Members of Shell’s scientific team engaged with guests the entire race weekend, discussing what goes into the successful partnerships between Shell and its motorsports partners.

Influencer Engagement and Content Production

Friday morning featured content with Team Penske Driver Josef Newgarden and influencer Karl Conrad at the SVPN+ Performance Tour. The trailer was a closed set for the actors' interaction, as Josef and Karl were captured inside the Performance Tour, setting high scores on the FITLIGHT reaction game and interacting with the SVPN+ demos.  

Toronto Blue Jays Integration

Friday night, Team Penske driver Scott McLaughlin pitched the first pitch in the Blue Jays vs. Detroit Tigers game. We arranged his appearance with the Blue Jays on the mound and in the suite. During the game, Shell leadership got to speak to Scott and members of Team Penske in the Shell Suite before his race weekend activities.
