While everywhere around the track was unmistakably Pennzoil, so was the competition on the track. Custom, striking paint-outs were developed for the Next Gen car to be featured on the #22 Ford Mustang of Joey Logano and the #12 of Ryan Blaney.
Pennzoil had the primary paint-out for the #22 and a co-primary position on the #12. The driver's fire suits matched, and they could be seen in Pennzoil yellow on broadcast TV interviews during driver introductions and during post-race coverage.

Every year during the Pennzoil 400, another marquee sporting event seems to occur over the same weekend in Vegas. In the past, there have been heavyweight boxing, UFC, NHL, and NCAA events. This year, we looked to generate some excitement through a crossover promotion with one of those major sporting events for incremental exposure for the brand. In 2024, the National Rugby League from Australia was kicking off its season at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Pennzoil has a natural connection to the NRL through Scott McLaughlin, driver of the No. 3 Pennzoil Chevrolet for Team Penske, who hails from New Zealand and is an avid rugby fan.
We worked with the VP of Communications of the NRL to set up a meet and greet as well as a jersey swap between Pennzoil NASCAR driver and defending NASCAR champ, Ryan Blaney, and his INDYCAR teammate McLaughlin with two stars of the NRL – Daly Cherry-Evans and Tom Trbojevic of the Manly Sea Eagles. Local, national and international media participated in Friday’s event at Allegiant Stadium. NRL players were also invited to attend the Pennzoil 400 as Pennzoil guests on Sunday for another pre-race interaction with Blaney.

Guest Experience
Guest Experience
Over 350 guests gathered at The Fontainebleau, the newest hotel on the Las Vegas strip, to commence Pennzoil 400 weekend. The reception was started with remarks from Shell-Pennzoil leadership including Ade Ajala and Bree Sandlin. The dinner had an old Vegas feel with burlesque dancers, a champagne tower and even an illusionist. Sprinkled in with the old Vegas feel were the new feelings of the Long May We Drive campaign that showcased imagery of the vehicles that will represent Pennzoil throughout the 2024 year.
In addition to the vibrant scene guest had the opportunity to meet and socialize with other guests such as Ryan Blaney, Joey Logano, John Hennessy, and Marcus Smith.
Top-performing customers enjoyed perfect start/finish line views and the ultimate VIP experience in the speedway suites. Joey Logano stopped by before the race to answer a few more detailed questions from guests.
New this year, we invited our hospitality guests to suite level with the High Roller experience. We also had private access to the LVMS Draft Bar on club level for the first portion of the day Sunday.
In addition to the spread of different hospitality experiences, this event offered Pennzoil guests another level of VIP access. The most important elements of the race were held by Pennzoil partners or customers - bringing them closer than ever to the action. Guest were given the opportunity to attend the illusive drivers meeting to sit amongst all of the NASCAR Cup series drivers to see the weekend from their point of view. Guest were then given the opportunity to ride along in the pace car to start off the race.
150 students joined us this weekend across Saturday and Sunday for an immersive experience at the race track. They visited with different stakeholders of the sport, met with team members of Team Penske and enjoyed the race from the grandstands. The experiential team also visited multiple locations in the Las Vegas area with the #22 Pennzoil Ford Mustang.
