Monthly Summary

From New Hampshire to Colorado our performance influencers were very busy both on and off the track this month. The Round 3 Racing team kicked off the month with a double-header race in Colorado while Josef Newgarden and Team Penske geared up for the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing” at the Indy 500 in the Shell V-Power NiTRO+ car. 

 Josef Newgarden took home the win on August 30th for the Bommarito Automotive Group Race #2 where he is currently ranked second in Championship points. Joey Logano had nine Cup Series races in August with two top five finishes.

Shell Indy 500 Virtual Activation | August 23

The 104th running of the Indy 500 was shifted from Memorial Day to August. With heavy restrictions due to Covid we were able to produce a successful content series over the course of the two weeks which resulted in over 3.7 million impressions.

Joey Logano Foundation Hereos Night Out with concert from Lee Brice | August 22

Even though the world is getting back to normal, there is still a lot of work going on behind the scenes and our first responders are still a top priority. The Joey Logano Foundation hosted an event to give back to first responders and their families with a private concert by Lee Brice at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Shell donated gift cards to all the families for the event which was very well received.

Because of Shell’s Penske relationship we were able to use a free :30 sec spot to run during the NASCAR Heat races.

Joey Logano Darlington Throwback Unveil | August 14

Round 3 Racing | August 7-9 | High Plains Raceway

The Round 3 Racing team headed to High Plains Raceway in Colorado where the team had another double podium finish weekend. Over the course of two days the team had 16 hours of grueling racing.
